JustRite Friday Challenge #093 - "Suddenly Spring"

For JustRite's Friday Challenge: "Suddenly Spring", I made a pinwheel following directions found here and printing directly onto my October Afternoon's Woodland Park floral paper. Spring to me is beautiful flowers, butterflies, birds singing and building their nests, warm sunshine, children playing (sometimes with pinwheels!) It's my favorite season -- a rebirth/renewal after winter and I happen to have been born in the spring also.
Using a floral image from JustRite's Botanical Butterflies I stamped my pinwheel's center on shrink plastic with Staz-On ink and colored the image with Copics. A drinking straw was wrapped with Washi tape (Target) for my 'handle'. My sentiment is from JustRite's With Gratitude Labels One and the flower was stamped and then cut out with the same stamp used on my shrink plastic 'button', so you can see how much the plastic shrinks!
My card was layered using the following Spellbinders' products:
Imperial M-Bossabilities Folder Side A;
Close-up of JR-stamped shrink plastic button
Standard Circle Dies (pink layer; shrink plastic);
Butterfly Circles (white coffee filter);
Petite Scalloped Circles Large (turquoise layer); and Ribbon Banners (sentiment).

This is so clever! These colors and pinwheel really do say Spring! I really like how you created the button with that botanical stamp too! Thanks for sharing with us at JustRite Inspiration ;-)

I did a pinwheel card once, but it didn't turn out a fraction as cute as this one. That shrink plastic thingy (yes, I said thingy, and being female you know what I mean LOL), is the most adorable detail. I love the papers and the ribbons and how you washi taped the straw. This is just super sweet! And Hey! It wasn't last minute, you had tons of time left! ;D
