My Sheri Crafts Challenge #085: Wedding/Anniversary

My Sheri Crafts latest challenge: create a wedding/anniversary card using black/white + a POP of color! I always enjoy working with a black/white + 1 color theme -- just sooo many possibilities. For our challenge I chose a black/white Damask Notepad paper by Teresa Collins and decided to let the quote, "Loved you yesterday, love you still; always have, always will" stand unobstructed, designing the rest of my card around it.
For my "pop" of red I cut my heart from Core'dinations' Glitter Silk CS and added a narrow edge detail with Papertrey Ink's Edgers #3 die. My JustRite sentiment was stamped in black and die cut with Spellbinders' Nested Pennants, then nestled inside the heart frame, along with a bitty heart gem I colored Lipstick Red with Copic R29. Want2Scrap's black gem swirl finishes it all off!
Here's YOUR challenge: concoct your very own wedding/anniversary card in black/white + a pop of color  and JOIN US @ My Sheri Crafts for this challenge, as we'd LOVE to see what you create using this fun theme!!!
Paper: Core'dinations Glitter Silk; Teresa Collins Damask Notepad CS; white CS
Stamps: JustRite's Wedding Nested Sentiments
Ink: PTI's True Black
Dies: Spellbinders' Nested Pennants; Provo Craft's Concentric Heart; PTI's Edgers #3
Bling: Want2Scrap; Amuse Twinkle Stickers

PTI's Challenge: Dawn's Favorites Color Challenge

Sadly today is the last of Nichole Heady's fabulous challenges for Papertrey Ink's 2nd Anniversary celebration. It's been such a fun week & she's given away so many awesome prizes that I'll surely feel lost as to what to do next week. Perhaps I'll have to get busy with some of the new sketches I've recently received!!!
I chose to "case" Dawn's Black & Cream Anniversary card posted here, because I needed an anniversary card & I've always loved elegant Damask designs. Mine was made using what I could from my stash & includes PTI's Vintage Cream & Kraft cardstocks, Happy Anniversary stamp from Mixed Messages and Palette Noir ink.

Regal Purple Damask Thank You Card

A thank you card for a dear friend who surprised me with a gift and whose favorite color is purple. This damask stamp is a favorite of mine and I thought the Anna Griffin phrase was a nice complement, as well as the large decorative paper clip which I picked up at Target recently in an 8-pack for $1! Love a good bargain!!!

Paper: SU Elegant Eggplant cardstock; DeNami Design Lavendar Metallic
Stamp: JudiKins Regal Damask
Embellishments: BMuse Very Fine Detail Amethyst Embossing Powder; Large Paper Clip; Ribbon
Tool: Marvy Uchida Oval Punch

Another Cream and Black Damask Card

This 5" square card is done on cream cardstock with the damask stamp (JudiKins) in black ink embossed with clear embossing powder. It is accented with a glossy black strip of cardstock and sheer black ribbon threaded through a Making Memories chipboard Halloween button from Target, which seemed more "damask" than Halloweeny to me!

Black & Cream Linen Damask Card

A very simple card done on black & cream linen card stock using JudiKins Regal Damask stamp. It didn't turn out quite like I'd envisioned, probably due to how the Versafine ink looks on the linen textured paper. I might like it better on smooth paper, but I decided I'd just add the double-scalloped edge & keep it simple. I think this stamp could be used for many occasions and have a couple more ideas in mind to try.
