JustRite Friday Challenge #081: Charm Me

For the current JustRite challenge, wherein we are to add a charm, I knew right away I'd make my own. Again using JustRite's Botanical Butterflies, even though I used it for the last challenge, I simply had to stamp that bee again to create a charm to use with Authentique's sweet Carefree papers featuring flowers & bees!

I began by stamping the round dotted frame from JustRite's Charmed cling set and my bee onto shrink plastic, die cutting with JustRite's Custom Charm Dies, then shrinking with my heat gun. LOVE how cute it turned out and the bonus with these wonderful charm dies is you don't have to remember to punch a hole before shrinking -- LOL!
Spellbinders So Trendy M-Bossabilities folder made me think 'honeycomb', so I embossed and then sanded Core'dinations paper for the bottom section. Also from Botanical Butterflies, this fabulous sentiment is stamped and die cut with JustRite's Custom Antique Labels One Dies, a new FAV now! For my flowers and leaves I used Spellbinders' Bitty Blossoms dies and die cut my leaves from stiffened burlap and edged with a Copic Marker.
Thanks for stopping by to visit today and please leave me a comment to let me know your thoughts on my card!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #085: Wedding/Anniversary

My Sheri Crafts latest challenge: create a wedding/anniversary card using black/white + a POP of color! I always enjoy working with a black/white + 1 color theme -- just sooo many possibilities. For our challenge I chose a black/white Damask Notepad paper by Teresa Collins and decided to let the quote, "Loved you yesterday, love you still; always have, always will" stand unobstructed, designing the rest of my card around it.
For my "pop" of red I cut my heart from Core'dinations' Glitter Silk CS and added a narrow edge detail with Papertrey Ink's Edgers #3 die. My JustRite sentiment was stamped in black and die cut with Spellbinders' Nested Pennants, then nestled inside the heart frame, along with a bitty heart gem I colored Lipstick Red with Copic R29. Want2Scrap's black gem swirl finishes it all off!
Here's YOUR challenge: concoct your very own wedding/anniversary card in black/white + a pop of color  and JOIN US @ My Sheri Crafts for this challenge, as we'd LOVE to see what you create using this fun theme!!!
Paper: Core'dinations Glitter Silk; Teresa Collins Damask Notepad CS; white CS
Stamps: JustRite's Wedding Nested Sentiments
Ink: PTI's True Black
Dies: Spellbinders' Nested Pennants; Provo Craft's Concentric Heart; PTI's Edgers #3
Bling: Want2Scrap; Amuse Twinkle Stickers

The Shabby Tea Room Week #90 Challenge: Winter Picnic

I love using white/silver for Christmas, so this card is for TSTR's challenge, which is sponsored by JustRite this week. My Nested Tea Cup die was first cut and then stamped with one of JustRite's Lace Borders and heat embossed in silver. I stamped my JustRite Charmed sentiment onto a Spellbinders' Ribbon Tag Trio die cut and stamped the same border from my cup onto both edges in VersaMark Ink and again embossed in silver. I then layered my tea cup over a shiny silver doily and a white doily I'd sprayed with Tattered Angels' Silver mist, giving it a soft silvery sparkle.
My card is edged with a combination of Spellbinders' Classic Scallop and Classic Bracket Edgeabilities, which has a Fleur de Lis that coordinates well with the Lacey Border I used on both my tea cup and tag. I then layered another Classic Scallop piece cut from Core'dinations silver glittered CS underneath my borders. A sheer white ribbon laced through my tag completes this card. I hope your Christmas card making is going well and you can relax and enjoy the upcoming holiday festivities. I think I'm nearly finished?!!!

Vintage Thank You Card

Our craft group took a class with Terre (Terre's Scrap Therapy) recently and we made these fabulous vintage cards. Our focus was the great grunge flower made with Spellbinders' peony die, scrunched & crunched up and misted with 2-3 shades of Glimmer Mist! I just LOVE how easy/fun these are to make and wanted to share this today while I work on a couple other projects.
Paper: Core'dinations CS; Vintage paper (Terre's stash)
Embellishments: Ribbon & Various Glimmer Mists (all Terre's)
Tools: Spellbinders' Wizard & Dies: Peony, Fancy TagsLabels 8, & leaf (unknown name/all Terre's)

JustRite Friday Challenge 026: Nice Notes

My Nice Note is made using Spellbinders' Labels Twelve, Peony (flower) and Doodle Parts (swirl) dies and Core'dinations CS. After cutting/embossing my large & small frames, I sanded the Core'dinations' paper to reveal more of the gorgeous pale turquoise color and bring out the frames' embossing. I used Tsukineko's Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz on the swirls before wrapping them around the large frames' sides (click on the photo to enlarge). My JustRite Just a Note sentiment is popped up on foam tape. I cut two peony flowers from an old book page, colored them with Twinkling H2O's and spritzed with Shimmer for the bottom corner embellishment. Think this little "Just a Note" tucked away would really brighten someone's day when discovered!
Paper: Core'dinations Whitewash Collection & PTI's Aqua Mist CS
Stamp: JustRite Just a Note Borders & Centers
Ink: Memento's Tuxedo Black
Embellishments: Doodlebug (brad); Tsukineko's Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz
Tools: Spellbinders' Wizard, Labels Twelve, Peony & Doodle Parts' Dies
