JustRite Friday Challenge #089: Anything Goes!

The current JustRite Friday Challenge: 'anything goes', means you can make a project using ANY JustRite stamp(s) and simply tell why they're your fav. With my daughter and step-daughter both recently engaged, I have been working on several ideas for wedding invitations. Today I'm sharing my creations for Save the Date magnets, wedding invitations and thank you cards using Just Rite's Lace Medallion Labels and Lace Background stamps.

First, my Save the Date magnet was created using the Vintage Love sentiment from Lace Medallion Labels on Ice Silver CS and die cut with JustRite's Custom Nested Oval Medallion Dies by Spellbinders.

Using JustRite's Lace Background stamp as my invitation's backdrop, I inked the stamp with pigment ink and stamped it onto Ice Silver CS. Having created my invitation in Microsoft Word, I printed it on Vellum in black ink and secured it to the CS with matching ribbon laced through the two layers. Metallic envelopes were purchased.

Finally, my thank you's are simple A2 cards stamped with the sentiment and lace border from Lace Medallion Labels and the same ribbon used on the invitations.

I love the vintage and classy look these JustRite Lace stamps add to so many projects and I thought they were absolutely perfect for this wedding set!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #085: Wedding/Anniversary

My Sheri Crafts latest challenge: create a wedding/anniversary card using black/white + a POP of color! I always enjoy working with a black/white + 1 color theme -- just sooo many possibilities. For our challenge I chose a black/white Damask Notepad paper by Teresa Collins and decided to let the quote, "Loved you yesterday, love you still; always have, always will" stand unobstructed, designing the rest of my card around it.
For my "pop" of red I cut my heart from Core'dinations' Glitter Silk CS and added a narrow edge detail with Papertrey Ink's Edgers #3 die. My JustRite sentiment was stamped in black and die cut with Spellbinders' Nested Pennants, then nestled inside the heart frame, along with a bitty heart gem I colored Lipstick Red with Copic R29. Want2Scrap's black gem swirl finishes it all off!
Here's YOUR challenge: concoct your very own wedding/anniversary card in black/white + a pop of color  and JOIN US @ My Sheri Crafts for this challenge, as we'd LOVE to see what you create using this fun theme!!!
Paper: Core'dinations Glitter Silk; Teresa Collins Damask Notepad CS; white CS
Stamps: JustRite's Wedding Nested Sentiments
Ink: PTI's True Black
Dies: Spellbinders' Nested Pennants; Provo Craft's Concentric Heart; PTI's Edgers #3

Wedding/Anniversary Congratulations: Lifestyle Crafts Letterpress Style

Still working with my new L Letterpress machine, I created this congratulatory card which I think is perfect for either wedding or anniversary needs. It would be especially nice for a 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration in this Silver ink or made using Gold ink for a 50th Anniversary!
For my card I actually used watercolor paper and then attached it to my BG card cut in silver CS, adding a tassel along the folded edge, a few pearls and rounded corners. So simple and very easy to duplicate if you desire to do these as wedding/anniversary celebratory invitations or Save the Date cards instead -- simply change the sentiment. With so many Letterpress ink colors available, you could certainly color coordinate your design to your own wedding colors or those chosen by your recipient for her celebration -- so many possibilities await with these printing plates/inks!
With spring and summer weddings on the horizon, you might want to hurry over to Creating Everlasting Memories and check out the many options available to you for just such upcoming events!

Bride and Groom: QuicKutz Style

As I cut and paper pieced this Bride and Groom QuicKutz die set, it reminded me so much of playing paper dolls when I was little -- a fond memory!
For a shower or wedding card, this set would be so sweet for making your card in the bride's chosen colors! I also think these would be the perfect dies for all your wedding scrapbooking and even for shower decorations!!!

I simply used papers, flowers, ribbons and pearls from my stash to dress my bride and groom. I cut my bride's dress in a textured white CS and her veil from vellum. I cut a small slit to slip the veil over her hair and then added pearls to it, as well as to her dress at the neckline and a ribbon sash at her waist. Her bouquet consists of small roses and  ribbon surrounded by a small doily circle cut from a larger doily.

The groom is dressed in his finest tuxedo and white shirt with "ribbon" tie and a boutonniere die cut from the set and Copic colored with R39 and YG95.

For this QuicKutz/Lifestyle Crafts die set #3-040 and numerous others at unbelievable prices, be sure to check out Creating Everlasting Memories today!!!

Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge

Fabulous felt was our theme for Papertrey Ink's May Blog Hop, so I chose Hawaiian Shores and Vintage Cream felt for my Wedding card. PTI dies include: Mat Stack 1 Die for my center and Beautiful Blooms II small & medium Dies #2 for my corners.

My Sweet Love swirly oval and happy couple sentiment stamped in Hawaiian Shores ink on Mulberry paper showed up best backed with an oval cut from Vintage Cream felt using a Spellbinders' oval die. It's just a tiny bit wider, leaving a slight border at the top & bottom of the stamped image, as seen best in my close-up photo. Love the Hawaiian Shores Mat Stack felt backing, because I had room on the edges for pearls. I simply die cut medium and small flowers in the two colors, stacked & pinched them closed with glue dots, added pearls & mounted them at the corners with more glue dots! LOVE these new dies!!!

Thanks for stopping by tonight and I'm very anxious to see what all you PTI ladies have created for your fabulous felt projects! ;~)

I'm adding this card to PaperPlay's Wedding Celebrations' challenge for this week also.

PTI's Blog Hop December, 2008

I felt this beautiful Noel Christmas card we'd received would make a gorgeous wedding or anniversary card. I also knew that PTI's Shimmer cardstock would be a perfect compliment to this patterned paper. After backing a 1 1/8" strip of Shimmer with black glossy cardstock, I added the sentiment from Heartfelt Basics in Pallette Noir ink and a tiny red heart from a dollar store purchase.
For the "ribbon candy" I started with approximately 48" of sheer 5/8" black ribbon. I simply began with the tail at center back & folded my 5 loops, decreasing in size with each succeeding loop while holding the ribbon in the center. When I had my 5 loops done, I merely folded the ribbon diagonally at the center front, secured with a tiny glue dot and looped it around twice to cover the fold, secured it again on the back with another small glue dot and then a large glue dot to attach it to my card. Quick, simple and ready for a future recipient's enjoyment!
Waste not; want not - except we'll always want more PTI!!! ;~)
Paper: PTI's Shimmer cardstock; black cardstock scrap

Chocolate Cake Card

As my entry for CardVaarks Chocolate challenge, I created this card which is nothing like I'd imagined in the beginning! Due to circumstances beyond my control, it's now dark, so my photo will not be the best either! I'll try to re-upload in morning light tomorrow. The challenge ends @ midnight tonight, so here goes!
I couldn't really think what else chocolatey to do but a cake, so I made it 3-layer cake with pearls and white roses. I envision it for a birthday, but guess it could work for a chocolate-lover's wedding too!
Paper: PTI's Shimmer and Bazzill cardstocks
Tools: Square Nesties; Fiskars Threading Water Punch
Embellishments: Martha Stewart Rub-Ons, pearls & ribbon from my stash

Wedded Bliss

My brother's youngest daughter, Laura, is being wed this Saturday and sadly I'm not able to attend, so I'm hoping this little card will somewhat make up for my absence. I want to thank my Designing Diva Judy's sweet friend, Kristi, who was visiting from Texas, for so kindly sharing the stamped images & Cuttlebugged background paper & her ideas! I not only "lifted" her ideas, but literally her entire card! She had to start over from scratch on hers, so I hope she thinks I did it justice; I just love that mini swiss dots background!
In keeping with Laura's colors, I added a bit of navy blue with Twinkling H2O's, ribbon and seed beads, as well as pearl seed beads and white shades of H2O's. The stamps were fun to "play" with!
I'm modifying my post to include that this card is my entry for the http://www.daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/ challenge using linen and lace.
Papers: White/navy linen/"champagne" cardstock
Stamps: Hero Arts
Embellishments: Ribbons; lace; seed beads, Twinkling H2O's
Tools: Spellbinder's Wizard; Cuttlebug Mini Swiss Dots folder
