Your 'mission' (aka challenge) should you choose to accept it @ My Sheri Crafts is to create a project of your choosing -- the only requirement is to use at least one 'new' item or new technique you've learned. It can be something you just got, maybe for a Christmas gift, or even items you've had for awhile, but not yet used. We all have those, huh?
And who doesn't love to see new card folds, stamping/inking/embossing techniques or anything new to try out, so bring it on for this wide-open challenge and show us what you've got!!!
My carnation pink lattice 5.5" card was made with Bazzill CS by cutting it on my brand-spanking new Boss Kut Gazelle digital die cutting machine. It was a huge surprise, as I won it right before Christmas -- more on that in a later post. Secondly, I used Spellbinders' Carnation Creations to create my flower and though I've had them awhile, this was my first chance to create with them. My Papertrey Ink sentiment is stamped on a Spellbinders' Ribbon Banner. Since I LOVE die cutting, I couldn't be happier that I now own an awesome machine, as well as many fabulous dies to even further enhance my projects -- I'm truly a lucky girl!
I added a pearl brad to my flower's center, three small pearls to the center's edge and used both Antique Linen and Worn Lipstick inks on my card, flower and banner to antique them a bit!
Won't you PLEASE show us your 'new' crafty goodies by posting a project (or more) at My Sheri Crafts? We'd LOVE to see what items you've gotten and now used for your creative endeavors, so do share! ;-)

Maricopa is a community just south of Phoenix, AZ partially surrounded by raw desert and American Indian tribal land where wild horses still roam free and John Wayne worked his sprawling Red River Ranch and Cattle Company in bygone days. My husband photographed this horse sculpture near our subdivision’s entrance.

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #22: Thinking of You
Needing a card for my elderly aunt, I loved this challenge at My Sheri Crafts! To me "Thinking of You" is always a perfect sentiment, no matter what you decide to stamp or write inside your card. I had previously colored this JustRite watering can bouquet with Copics, so it was my starting point. After cutting/embossing two Spellbinders' Beaded Ovals, I left them in the dies and sponged softly with Sweet Blush ink. Those 2 layers were alternated with another darker oval below my main image, popping up the top two layers for interest. My sentiment threaded through a Spellbinders' Ribbon Tag with a side bow and rounded corners are the finishing touch. Hope it brings my Aunt a smile when it reaches her!

Stamps: JustRite's Autumn Blessings & PTI's Autumn Blessings (sentiment)
Ink: PTI's True Black & Sweet Blush

2S4Y Challenge 32: Tea for Two

I love PTI's lovely Shimmer cardstock, but surprisingly when I stamped my teapot in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, it appeared to be medium gray. I actually liked it, so I grabbed my PTI Silver CS to complete the look for this 2 Sketches 4 You challenge. My Swiss Dots embossing folder, EK Success mini scallop-edge punch and AMuse gems, heart & "drip" helped me complete this simple sketch in silver & white!!!
Paper: PTI's Shimmer & Silver CS
Ink: Memento's Tuxedo Black
Stamps: PTI's Tea for Two & Everyday Classics (Anniversary Set 2009)
Embellies: AMuse Twinkle Stickers; White Gel Pen
Tools: Spellbinders Wizard & Plain Circle Nesties & Ribbon Tags (traced inside w/gel pen); EK Success punch; Swiss Dots Emb. Folder

Free-Standing Pop-Up Get Well Card
Simple to make & fun; you just have to be careful not to add too much bling since it folds flat for mailing. I always make mine from an 11" x 4 1/4" piece of cardstock, so it will fit in an A2 (quarter-fold) envelope. I included a photo showing it "flat" & ready for the envelope.
Try one! I think you'll enjoy making & sending it!!!
Stamps: Paper Trey Ink's Hello Friend & Hero Arts' Get Well Soon
Ink: Tsukineko's Versafine: Sepia
Tools: Making Memories Stapler; Stampin'Up Round Tab Punch

Black/White + One Challenge Birdie Card
A really fun spring set, which would certainly make awesome cards for summer, fall & winter as well. Hmmm, a red bird with some glistening snow on the branch. Oh, that would work for our latest SBS8 challenge from Kim over at http://www.impressyourself.typepad.com/ who needs Christmas cards for heroes to be received by a friend by May 12th! Yikes, I'll be quite busy if I manage to make that deadline!
Paper: Solar White Classic Columns Cover cardstock; black cardstock
Stamp Set: Wordsworth's Heart Sing Clear Acrylic
Ink: Tsukineko's Lime Versacolor
Embellishments: Metal Dots from Joanns $1 aisle

You Are in My Thoughts
There's no better way to top off a busy week than getting together with my awesome stamping friends to enjoy crafting together! This is the card I shared which uses red (speckled) paper from XpedX , DMD adhesive mat stack from Target, my favorite new stamp convention purchase, Calligraphic Flourish by JudiKins, and phrase from Hero Arts LL159 Personal Message Set. Tomorrow I'll publish my other share and all the beautiful cards my talented friends created.
