Jill's First Annual Christmas in July Challenge

Found a great new challenge at Anjillic Creations, with a fabulous prize! Her challenge is simply to create a Christmas card -- the perfect excuse for me to use my new PTI Vintage Ornaments and Additions stamp sets. I chose to do a classy/elegant card on cream CS entirely in gold -- gold-embossed ornaments stamped on gold paper, accented with gold Stickles, gold leaf on the feather-edged opening, and my sentiment embossed in gold as well. Really love how this turned out and really LOVE the versatility these ornament sets provide! Jill's challenge ends on 7-31!!!
Paper: Avery CS; DeNami Design Gold CS
Stamps: PTI's Vintage Ornaments, Vintage Ornaments Additions
Ink: VersaMark
Embellishments: Golden Rod Stickles; DeNami Design Gold EP; Krylon 18 kt. Gold Leafing Pen; Stampendous Class A'Peel Stickers

Baroque Fleur de Lis

I really like the scalloped edge made with the Stampin' Up slit punch! This card was stamped with Stampin' Up's Baroque background and fleur de lis from the Carte Postale set. Once again I've used the Palette Stamp & Stick Gluepad and gold leafing. The double-sided white-core cardstock purchased from Costco has coordinating colors on each side.

Autumn's Beauty

A fall card using the Palette Stamp & Stick Gluepad by Stewart Superior Corp., http://www.stewartsuperior.com/, with gold leafing. I like that the leaf's center is very faint, just like so many fall leaves you find on the ground that are paper-thin in places. After 2 unsuccessful attempts with the gluepad, I re-read the directions on the gold leaf package, which stated that the stamped image needed to be completely dry, so the glue won't smear, and that it's "virtually impossible" to overheat the gluepad "ink". I tried again & heating longer was the key. I also pulled the edge of the rectangle along the gluepad & gold-leafed it. The Rubber Stampede leaf stamp is one I've had since 2001, background cardstock is from XpedX, biggie brad is by Karen Foster Design and letters are Making Memories.
