Surf's Up, Dude!

I borrowed my friend Ilene's surfboard & flip flop dies and chose this bright paper (Cosmo Cricket: Material Girl) to create a summery card for both CPS Sketch #173 and Ted's Happily Ever Challenged #7: Summer Crafting, Some Aren't challenges. (Just LOVE Ted's little play on words there!) I also realized it fits the current CCEE 1025 Challenge (to include flowers), so a first for me -- I'm entering 1 card in 3 challenges!
Paper: Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl Paper Pad; yellow & Orange CS from stash
Embellishments: Sand & felt flower centers from stash

Papertrey June Blog Hop Challenge: Color

Orange Zest and Kraft are the colors I chose for my June Papertrey Ink Blog Hop card, wherein we were challenged to use "color". Orange Zest is a color I've never used before, but I was inspired to try it because of Dawn's Dotty Biscotti paper. Interestingly, her blog today featured crafting with cork, which I'd decided to add in as a compliment to the Kraft & Orange Zest because I still had a piece on my table from a recent masculine card I'd made.
Paper: PTI's Orange Zest & Kraft CS & Dotty Biscotti DP; cork from stash
Stamps: PTI's Round and Round (Limited Edition 2009 Anniversary set)
Ink: VersaColor: Orange Pigment; PTI's Chai
Embellishments: WeRMemoryKeepers' Eyelets; wood buttons & twine (colored with Copic YR09)
Tools: PTI's Ric-Rac & Mat Stack 1 Dies; Spellbinders' Round dies; WeRMemoryKeepers' Crop-a-dile

JustRite Friday Challenge 023: Bookmark It!

Time for JustRite's Friday Challenge and the perfect opportunity for me to use my JustRite Applique! I thought this designs' sweet little hearts and vines with my striped grosgrain ribbon would look more dainty and feminine with just the center stamp, so I elected not to use the matching border. Love the many options available with JustRite Stamps and was thrilled to find this set works perfectly with my Square & Scalloped Square Nestabilities! My intended recipient is a voracious reader, so I'm quite sure she'll be able to put this little bookmark to great use!
Paper: PTI's White & Reflections' Metallic Pink CS

Ink: Memento's Tuxedo Black

Moxie Fab World Challenge: I Want to Ride My Bicycle

My friend Gwen reminded me of this bicycle challenge over at Moxie Fab, so I just had to get busy this weekend and work on my entry. Gosh, sooo many fun challenges recently -- I'm having trouble keeping up with them all! Take a look at all the fabulous creations posted so far with a whole week left to post entries on this one. My card includes Papertrey Ink stamps/buttons, papers/bubble top brads from Making Memories and Bazzill's boshers wrapped in wire for spokes.
I enjoyed working on my layers with Making Memories papers, creating my scene with Papertrey stamps and decorating with boshers, buttons and brads. I stamped my largest balloon button and love how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by today!

Summer Fun Card

Our challenge at The Shabby Tea Room was to create a card or project showing how you like to enjoy some FUN IN THE SUN! What a fun challenge -- my bathing beauties are definitely having some sun 'n fun on the boardwalk! It's nearly 110 degrees as I type this post, so this card is cooling and refreshing to look at today.

Just Add Ink #21 Sketch Challenge

After cutting this Eyelet Pendant and flower from old book pages, I colored them with my Begonia Pink Copic marker and spritzed with Colorless Blender. Next I spritzed with sheer shimmer, which I hope you can see if you click & enlarge the photo. I cut the center from one of the Martha Stewart tags and used a Copic marker to color it black. Together with some checked ribbon and a sentiment tag, it was a perfect fit for this week's Just Add Ink's sketch challenge #21. My ingredients are:
Paper: Black & White CS from stash; old book pages for pendant & flower
Stamp: PTI's Round and Round (Limited Edition 2009 Anniverary set)
Ink: PTI's Palette Noir
Embellishments: Martha Stewart Die-Cut Lace Tags; Making Memories "Sabrina" Ribbon & gem brads; Tsukineko's Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz; CopicsRV 14, C9, O Colorless Blender
Tools: Spellbinders Eyelet Pendant & Double End Tag Dies; WeRMemory Keepers Corner Rounder

Clean & Simple Stamping: Cosmo's Early Bird

I recently stumbled across a package of Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird at Michaels. Of course, I grabbed it & ran to check out -- LOL!!! I thought it would be perfect for Fall-To Layout 94 from Clean & Simple Stamping since it's simplicity lets the papers speak for themselves! I simply added a bit of ink distressing, twill tape, crochet thread and buttons to my flower and sentiment -- clean, simple & quick!

JustRite Friday Challenge 021 & My Sheri Crafts Challenge #8 Masculine Birthday Card

I really had fun embossing and sanding with brown Core'dinations and Kraft CS, hemp cord, copper and cork to create my masculine birthday card. The personalized sentiment is stamped with my 2 3/8" Round JustRite stamper in 25 pt. Times New Roman font and is topped by an initial alpha and large copper brad. Brown hemp frames the sentiment and cork squares and holds my round birthday slide. This card qualifies for both JustRite's Friday Challenge 021 and My Sheri Crafts Challenge #8 (Birthday). Sometimes masculine projects really can be fun!

Everday Button Bits Double Challenge Card: JUGS & CCEE1021

I thought this cherry image would make such a fun card with my MS Die-Cut Tag. A huge thanks to Gwen for suggesting I color it with Copics -- LOVE it!!! Further inspiration for this card came from two challenges: CCEE's 1021 sketch "with a twist": to use button(s) on a card, perfect for Everyday Button Bits, and JUGS challenge: to use dry embossing. My Fiskars "basketweave" embossing plate brought back sweet memories of helping my Mom pick baskets of cherries for her yummy cherry pies.

Embellishments: MS Die-Cut Tag; PTI Buttons (cherry); Hero Arts Baby Buttons; ribbon from stash
