I had previously seen this card in Paper Crafts Magazine (July/August 2010) issue and marked it so I would remember I wanted to make my own version of it! I've used all the same Papertrey Ink Turning a New Leaf DPs that Debbie Olson did in her card, stitching all those together first before adhering to my CS.
I switched sentiments as suggested and made mine a male birthday card instead. I used JustRite's All Occasion Nested Sentiments for my greeting, stamped on a Spellbinders' Ribbon Tag, and threaded it with a felt stitched ribbon from Michaels. I also stamped a tiny branch from PTI's Turning a New Leaf at the top edge of my tag, as well as stamping and cutting out some large leaves to tuck behind my tag. I just LOVE these DPs and stamps and think they work well for those sometimes difficult masculine cards.
