Maricopa is a community just south of Phoenix, AZ partially surrounded by raw desert and American Indian tribal land where wild horses still roam free and John Wayne worked his sprawling Red River Ranch and Cattle Company in bygone days. My husband photographed this horse sculpture near our subdivision’s entrance.

Masculine Birthday: Flea Market
Edited to Add: Re-posted edited final photo of card -- just wasn't happy and realized it needed a bit more distressing -- better now!
Using Colorbok's Flea Market DP line, I created this card for one of two male friends' birthdays on my list. I kept this one fairly CAS by utilizing the numerical paper, complimentary striped paper and brown/aqua solids. Spellbinders' Banner Basics Two border accents the top striped layer and my Papertrey Ink sentiment is stamped on a Ribbon Banner tucked under the red bird's tail feathers, which I pre-cut with my craft knife.
That's it -- short and sweet and perfect for popping in the mail!
Paper: Colorbok's Flea Market 12" and 8" Paper Pads
Stamps: Papertrey Ink's Everyday Classics
Ink: Papertrey Ink's Dark Chocolate; Antique Linen Distress
Tools: Spellbinders' Ribbon Banner; Banner Basics Two dies
