With Sympathy II

My second version (first here) of CPS Sketch 104 again using With Sympathy, but a different flower and sentiment. The unique flower, butterfly and sentiment are all part of this extremely versatile PTI With Sympathy set, fast becoming a favorite of mine! As my clever friend Gwen so accurately pointed out this particular sentiment works well for "encouragement" too. We can always use a little of that in our lives! If you get a chance try out this sketch, it's a great one!!!

PTI March Blog Hop Background Card

This month's challenge was to create a background. Even though I'm crazy busy spring house cleaning, this was sooooo much fun! I actually attempted a couple different backgrounds, but ended up liking this very simple background card best after using my favorite background (so far) and the individual circle & "flower" design from Background Basics: Retro. I stamped the background 3 times across my card and added the small circle stamp on top of every other circle-less flower design in Noir ink.
Next I removed the gem from a felt chipboard accent flower from my stash, stamped the single "flower" in white Staz-On ink and reattached the gem. Lastly, I added the design once more in front of my sentiment in white Staz-on from Friends 'Til the End, added a gem in the center. Short & sweet!!!
Paper: PTI's White CS & black scrap
Stamps: BB: Retro & With Sympathy
Ink: PTI's Palette Noir & White Staz-On
Embellishments: Amanda Blu Chipboard Flowers & gem from stash

Welcome, Baby Boy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Wow, I didn't even make 1 St. Pat's Day card this year -- my Irish relatives would be aghast, I'm sure -- LOL!!!
I seem to be in a clean & simple mode lately, for whatever reason. This little Baby Boy card I made just for fun because I found this sweet little Inkadinkado set @ Joann's on Saturday in their clearance aisle for 97 cents! How could I resist?! I seem to amass cards that I don't need to send, so I'm thinking I'll package a bunch up and send to our daughter & her roommate to have on hand when the need arises.
Not much to explain here, just thought the little elephant would look good on an oval, used my Nesties & curved the greeting above him (thanks to Gwen's recent card that reminded me I could!). I used Creative Memories oval set to cut the sentiment out, edged both in the same ink, embossed a larger Nestie Oval behind him & added a ribbon below.
Paper: PTI's White & blue scrap (SU?)
Stamps: Inkadinkado's Baby Boy
Ink: Colorbox Sky Blue
Accessories: Nestie Ovals; Creative Memories Ovals; American Crafts Ribbon

PTI's With Sympathy: Loss of Pet

Another fairly simple card for my 2nd try @ Guest Star Stamper on PTI's forum. This one-layer sympathy for the loss of a furry friend card is one I just wanted to make because I thought that little paw would look so cute flocked. In the creative process it occurred to me to do the same flocking on my flowers. I decided to keep the tone muted, clean and simple. Let me know if you like it!
I actually had to remake this card, once I learned the "secret" to using Palette's Stamp & Stick Gluepad with flocking -- "ink" your stamp with the gluepad & pour on your flocking BEFORE heating! Yep, that's the key to make your flocking stick and it will not hurt or change the flock at all! I heated both from underneath & from the top. I even went back and added a bit more flock to my paw & reheated a second time. Try it; you'll love it!!!
Paper: PTI's Kraft Cardstock
Stamps: PTI's With Sympaty: Loss of Pet
Ink: PTI's Dark Chocolate; Colorbox Pigment: Eggshell White; Palette's Stamp & Stick Gluepad
Embellishment: Doodlebug Designs: Flock; MS's Embossed ZigZag Punch

PTI Friends 'Til the End & BB: Retro Card

A simple card for my first attempt @ Guest Star Stamper on PTI's Forum features Friends 'Til the End and Background Basics: Retro stamps. I decided to use this particular background stamp and my Michaels' Black, White & Pop ribbon that mimic each other! I knew my Friends "Til the End flower would "pop" stamped in Palette Noir ink on Raspberry Fizz. I restamped the flower center, added black glitter in the middle, followed by 3 shades of pink glitter, pop-dotted it over my ribbon and added a single pink gem over the "i" in Friend to finish it off!
Paper: PTI's Raspberry Fizz & Stampers' Select White Cardstocks
Stamps: Friends 'Til the End & Background Basics: Retro
Ink: PTI's Palette Noir & Raspberry Fizz
Embellishments: Michaels' Black, White & Pop ribbon; gem & glitters from stash

Free-Standing Pop-Up Get Well Card III

We needed another quick male get well card for my husband's brother who is in the hospital, so I made my old standby, since it got rave reviews the last time I sent it to a hospital patient! It was a hit because it takes up so little space & stands up well on its own!!! All I have to add to this one is a quick note on the bottom rectangle, sign our names & pop it in the mail today. My previous two similar cards are here & here! My fun get well card for a female can be found here. Always good to have one or two on hand, though I rarely do - LOL!!! At least I've got this quick/easy one to go to for either a male or female, as well as a child if you used bright, fun papers - the possibilities are endless!!!

Please pardon my poor photo this morning, but with our overcast skies, this is the best I could do - the blue papers are actually all the same & the top "B well" is the true shade!

Paper: Making Memories Cosmopolitan Collection cardstocks
Stamp: Hero Arts
Ink: PTI's Palette Dark Chocolate
Embellishment: American Crafts Ribbon
Tool: Spellbinders Wizard & Circle Nestie
