My humble little entry for the April Blog Hop using Lauren's Stocking Timeless Template. This being my very first foray into using a template, I kept it quite simple. I used PTI Text-Style Pink Patterned paper for the front/back stocking and PTI Basic White CS (LOVE the strength of it) for the box. I then stamped the adorable baby feet from PTI's With Sympathy: Loss of Child on a small round tag, hung it from pink ric-rac with a tiny pink safety pin. I pinned it to my stocking "band", a piece of lace with pink Martha Stewart ribbon laced through. My little stocking contains 6 pair of little pink & white socks, so I'll use this as a fun little additional accompaniment to a larger baby gift and a matching card, of course! Can't wait to see what all you very talented ladies created for our viewing pleasure tonight -- happy blog hopping!!!
Maricopa is a community just south of Phoenix, AZ partially surrounded by raw desert and American Indian tribal land where wild horses still roam free and John Wayne worked his sprawling Red River Ranch and Cattle Company in bygone days. My husband photographed this horse sculpture near our subdivision’s entrance.

Designing Devas @ CKC Convention - Mesa
My sassy friend, Ilene, and sweet friend, Gwen, @ our CKC Convention in Mesa on Friday morning. Suffice it to say that we had a fabulous time, got loads of exercise walking & "weight lifting" (our totes full of product & class supplies), had 2 fantastic classes (not bad - 2 out of 3), were totally exhausted by Sat. @ 5:00 p.m. and spent waaaay too much money (but please don't tell our hubbies)!!! ;-) Though we were heartbroken that Spellbinders did not host a booth, we still managed to have a great time, find lots of bargains, and enjoy ourselves tremendously!
The Technique Tuesday card class, A Greeting for Every Reason, was AWESOME, both in terms of product, techniques, prizes, useful tips and quality teaching! Best teacher I've ever had in any class (a former college professor, so not surprising)! Our Paper Crafts Joy of Card Making class by Phoenix's own Kim Kesti was equally fabulous!
If you ever get an opportunity to attend a CKC Convention anywhere, we wholeheartedly recommend it!!!

Paper Crafts Card Contest Entry @ CKC Convention - Mesa
This was my entry for the Paper Crafts Birthday Card Contest @ CKC-Mesa. When they were about to announce winners @ the podium I got momentarily excited because I could see the bottom card in the winners' stack had an orangey flower, but soon realized it was NOT my card. Only my 2nd time entering, so I shall try again! All the (about 15) entries were very good, we felt. Certainly glad I didn't have to choose the winners. Hopefully Gwen will post her fabulous card on her blog for you to see too! ;-)

CKC Convention - Mesa Fun!!!
Had a fabulous time Fri. & Sat. at our local CKC Convention with my crafty BFFs Gwen & Ilene!!! Wanted to give a shout out to Linda & Julie whom we met there & joined for a fabulous lunch on Friday! Great to meet/visit with these fellow cardmakers!!!
One of our favorite local stores, Scrapbooks, Etc., did a different FREE make-n-take card both days. As you can see, they're both totally cute, simple & colorful with awesome textured Bazzill cardstocks & DPs (manufacturer unknown). I'll be able to put these fun freebies to very good use! Thanks, SBE!
Ahhh, such fun, great classes/teachers -- so much to see, so much shopping, so little sleep! Now to get it all organized so I can actually create again!

Easter Chickies!!!
Wow, cannot believe Easter is only a week away (even less really)! Don't usually send Easter cards & don't think I'd have enough made if I did this year, but maybe I'll surprise a couple people with one, after all! Had to make this, as my friend Ilene was here with all the goodies to do these on Friday. Who can resist sweet little chick, eggs, tulips? Not me!!! This little card is just too sweet, I think!!!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 2 by Dawn McVey
Well, you know the ole saying, "the best-laid plans of mice and men". . . so I missed the deadline, but had a blast making my little chocolate cuppy card anyway! My sweet friend, Gwen, kindly loaned me her Hero Arts Cupcake stamps. I've wanted these forever, so I had to play with them! Thanks, Gwen!!! I had hoped to create a male-appropriate cupcake card & thought these colors chosen by Dawn for her 2nd color challenge would achieve that goal nicely -- what do you think? If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you'll better see my embossed Birthday edge, which is a fabulous new card treat to use. Our card group met here last Saturday and this trick was shared by our talented friend Judy who sadly does not have a blog -- you'd really enjoy visiting it -- believe me!!! To see the cards our group made visit our group's blog!!! We're just beginning to post there!
